Hi everyone,

Dose anybody know the 2-year LLM program? Is anybody in this program now?.
I've got some information about this kind of degree from website of a few universities, they say they accept a non-law backgroud student.
I just wanna ask what's the difference between the 2 year LLM and the normal LLM(1 year)?.

Thanks in advance!!!.

Do you mean a regular LLM (part-time) that takes 24 instead of 12 months or do you mean a qualifying law degree for graduates in another discipline?

The latter is an opportunity for non-law graduates to progress into a career in law. It is an alternative programme to the CPE (Common Professional Examination) or the LLB (accelerated degree) but at masters level.

To my knowledge the following institutions offer such a course:
Birbeck (LLM Qualifying Law Degree)
Belfast (Master in Legal Science)
Bristol (MA in Law)
Leeds (Senior Status LLM)
Sheffield (MA Law)
Surrey (MA Law)
