Hi, this is Sophia, and I am going to apply for LLM 2006!
I think it is good for all of us to set up a team, then we can exchange our info, and improve our efficiency.
What do you think?

Anyone who are interested in my suggestions pls send me notes, and also your emails, then let's begin our application process.

Isn't it great that people get together and share all the things and help each other through the tough and tiring process?

Don't hesitate and let's get moving!

Rememer, send me your emails by sending me personal notes, that will be safer not to be interrupt by some boring people...

Yes, but this one is LLM 2006, and your proposal is for 2005?

I only stated 2006 because that will promote the efficiency of our info exchange since everyting is 'on the track',rite? And people of LLM 2006 will pay more attention to this since now it is the right time...it will help to deny the blindness.

we may use msn messenger, which is very convenient and some of use have been using it already ...

Also, some of us have blogs--msn space, so once u r admitted by our group, u can not only talk with us but also look at our blogs....

And we communicate with each other by MSN Space, so we can have a group talking, and if there are any people who can not make it to talk with each other (I guess the most important reason is because of the TIME DIFFERENCE)...We will post the main point of our discussion on my msn space, which is more or less the same as blog, and if you are msn user, you can read it and leave your message by pressing the button "Comment" at the end of the article.

And, I will try my best to make a detailed proposal to our group members, and I think now everyone is very busy, as well as me, so I hope we will treat it seriouly and really fully use of our time on msn space and make good use of my msn space.

Time is limited and I do hope everyone of us will get good results for next year's LLM!

Yale is already accepting applications. I think Michigan too. All other popular programs seem to wait till mid September.

thts true,,yale's alredy startd acceptin applications n others, amongst th prominent ones, like upenn, cornell, nyu n else will start soon,,by septembr end probably..
bt this period is perhaps th most crucial coz we hv 2 mk tht all important choice of universities,,4 thoz who hv alredy done tht, now begins th period 2 generally get ur documents in order,,
Class of 2006,,charge up..its almost time now to plan long journeys..!!

I am soooo excited that you all like my proposal!
And I have sent the Rules of the Study Group LLM 2006, which took me several hours to finish to 8 of our members, I hope we can really make benifit from one another... and now it seems that our group will be bigger and bigger...So...I think it is better to post the Draft here for all of you to read, and since it is only a draft, now it needs more suggestions and more contents from you.

Together, We Make the Difference!!!

LLM 2006 Study Group Rules
(Draft)
I. Purpose.
This LLM 2006 Study Group is established for the purpose of the improvements of all the application work for prospective LLMs who want to apply for the LLM programs begin in 2007 Spetember in the U.S. law schools. And also it is for all the members in our group to share our opinions, work out together the difficulties which might exist in anyone of us, exchange the law schools information, and other problems which may exist during our application work.

II. Scope Description.
1. Choosing Law Schools
Different law schools have different aspects or forts in LLM Programs, and our group members will focus on many different areas of law, such as General Studies, Tax, International, and etc. We can all share our knowledge with each other.

2. Personal Statement Writing.
PS is one of the tough thing to finish in order to get into law school, so I think this is one of the important work we should do out endeavor and give more assistance to one another in our group. The aspects include—Structure, Contents, Language(grammar, the usage of words, and etc). Our goal is to make our PSs much more better after our group members’ reading, discussion, and comments.

4. Application Methods Information
Some schools have special requirements, for instance, applicants must register for LSAC Service thing, some schools will ask for the online application, so know well the schools’ requirements of sending materials will be a necessity. No matter we are choosing a specified schools or not, once we find out its requirement, we should spare a little time paste it on the Msn Space and let our other group members who might think of the school know.

III. Members Rights and Obligations.
1. It is the rights of our group members to get and share all information in our group, make comments, give opinions, to all the materials together, such as PS, CV, discussion records.

2. It is the obligation of every group member to conform that: Every material, such as PS, CV, discussion records, and etc, is shared ONLY within the group members. And the materials can not be transferred, publish, cited outside our group without the permition of the author.

3. Every group member should be online at the same time once a week to talk together on MSN Messenger at the time noticed by email. Anyone who can not make it should tell others the detail of his/her absence, and then can he/she get the detailed contents of our discussion. (Group discussion is not obliged to post on net.)

4. Besides the altogehter talk once a week, group members, who talk with another member online, should leave their chatter on the MSN Space: (..........group members will get it through my email), in order for other group members to read.

5. All group members should obey the LLM 2006 Study Group Rules and other regulations or laws such as copyright law, civil law.

6. Make fully use of our limited time, resources and group discussion chances. And our group only accpets the qualified members who are serious of the application work, sincere and generous to help one another and not goofing around.

7. If there is any change of one’s contact information, he/ she should inform the others.



The Draft is written by Sophia Xiong, the organizer of the LLM 2006 Study Group.

hey sophia

i would really like to join except that i have a question.. it seems to me that a few of u guys are applying now for 2006 entry and the others are APPLYING in 2006 for a 2007 fall entry...??!!! so which section of ppl is this group for ? plz do clarify this one point. i am a law student in india and i would like to apply for LLM starting fall 2007.... so if this is a group for that goal.. i would jump in....
