I was ranked under the best 5 % in my country and only received an "above average" grade from LSAC. But I do not think that this will count too much as my ranking is also listed on that credential analysis. Furthermore, all materials that you sent to LSAC will be send to the schools when they ask LSAC for your report. So I don't think it is a real disadvantage. But I will secure my chances by splitting my applications process. I will, therefore, apply for a few programs using LSAC and for a few without LSAC. LSAC services are "strongly recommended" but not required by NYU at the moment. Check out their web site.
