Heya guys,

I applied to both UCL and the University of Cambridge in November 2009.

Offer from UCL came via email in Mid Jan 2010, and letter in Mid Feb.

Offer from Cambridge came through at the end of January 2010.

Now it depends on what grades I get, I'm a final year undergraduate student at the moment.

All the best ! x

I am a bit bamboozled about what Cambridge expects from its students. I've got a first in law, four years of legal experience working as a litigation solicitor at a top tier firm, 11 full length articles published in local and international journals, good referees, I teach a unit at the local law school, sit on lots of law-related committees, volunteer at a community legal centre and so on but still, no offer. I can only presume the field is exceptionally strong (perhaps due to the flow on effects of the financial crisis) this year so my credentials are not good enough.

I guess I just thought I'd have a reasonable chance. I am not quite sure what else one has to do. Cure for cancer anyone?

Do you mean you were rejected or are you still waiting for an offer? How do you know you will not receive an offer?
