Is the course: Comparative introduction to American Law graded on pass/fail basis? or do they actually consider it for calculation of the general GPA and, hence, honours?

it's possible to opt out of the class (not take it on a pass/fail basis) but still attend the lectures. that's what i did.

just an extra note, if you want to study with a particular prof, be sure they're not on sabbatcial next year. i might be able to help with info on this, if you ask for a particular prof.

Hey hi... this is a very pertinent suggestion, especially for the likes of me that also want to explore alternative trajectories like academia, policy making.

I am keen on working with either Avery Katz, Gordon or Pistor. How about them..? Have you worked / are working with any that you recommend. Armour?
(My interests are (as you might recollect from our previous conversations), corporate and securities regulation in an interdisciplinary perspective).

none of them are going to be on leave, as far as i know, next year. i have gordon right now for M&A. great academic, great lecturer, i think. if you have a picture in your head of a typical academic who's really good but a bit absent minded, plus with albert einstein hairdo, that's him!!!!! plus he talks like a character from ally mcbeal.

i don't know if armour will be visiting again next year. most likely not, since he is going to be in oxford for the MSc in LF. btw, since you're into L&E, some ed morrison does good work in L&E in relation to bankruptcy.

Hmm. I know about Ed Morrison and his work in bankruptcy. He was cited by Dick Posner recently.

Re Armour, I will miss him for sure though I could go for Goshen. And then there are our guys Gordon and Katz. That I guess is the best part about the faculty @ CLS. ( I gather they have some 200 on board!. To my knowledge, even Harvard has some 100).
