Prospectus for LL.M students with undergraduation from abroad in U.K.?

Dear Friends,
I am a final year student of LL.B from Aurangabad, India and I wish to pursue my LL.M in U.K.
Does anybody know about the prospectus of practicing after completing LL.M from U.K.?
If we have good prospectus then I can go for self funding.
Although I will be ready for appearing for few more course in order to make eligible for practicing as a solicitor or barrisor or in Law firms.
What are the good otionals for LL.M?
I am thinking of International Law or Human rights or may be Environmental law. Does these subjects have scopes in themselves to settle in U.K.?

I am expecting some good advice and discussions.
Basically I have completed my M.Sc. in Agriculture and have very good curricular and extra curricular background.

Rahul

I came from India to UK some years back. My suggestion is you would be better off doing a CPE/GDL course followed by a LPC or BVC programme.

Conversion course i.e. CPE/GDL is the first step that lets people with non-law background eventually practice law.

After CPE you have to either do a LPC(to train as a solicitor) or BVC(in case you want to become a barrister). Let's say you choose LPC, then you would need further two years of practical training before you can practice law.

To answer your specific question, the chances are pretty slim of your finding a job in UK after doing your LL.M in UK.

Maybe you should consider applying under HSMP if you want to work in UK.

Hope this helps.
