Hullo,Sat Nov 26, 2005 06:33 PM I was wondering if anyone has any personal experience regarding the thesis based LLM programme offered by UBC. What areas of law is UBC known for? Cheers |

The law curriculum is quite comprehensive-covering all the major areas of law. In particular, it has a strong focus on international, particularly, Asian law.Thu Dec 15, 2005 01:31 AM However, the program is known to be quite academic, rather than professional oriented. For the latter, consider the othe law school in British Columbia-the University of Victoria, one of the finest law schools in Canada despite being relatively young. |

UBC has quite a few good profs in different fields....what area are you interested in? I can suggest a prof accordingly....Fri Jan 13, 2006 06:46 PM Professor Paisley is really good for International Natural Resource related law. Tounsend-Gault for international law generally, Jannis Sara for Corporate/Security law Rajan for IP etc. UBC is a great p[lace to go to school.....I did my LL.B. there and really enjoyed my time in Vancouver. Hope that helps. |
