Same for me Anushka, I'm waiting for other replies, but I'm even happier today since I have received the materials Georgetown sent : make sure to check out the CD inside (hidden at the end of the file), really interesting :) And DC is a very international town (more than Durham -Duke-, for example ...).

I'm from France by the way :)

From which countries are you guys? Is Georgetown your first option? Do you know anyone who has studied there?

GULC and NYU are tied as my third option (after HLS and Columbia). I still have to wait to see what the other schools have to say, but no matter what they decide, I am pretty happy already...

By the way, I'm working in a firm in Canada, but I got my law degree in Buenos Aires, and I was born in Korea. ;) Where am I from? I personally get really confused when I get this kind of questions...

Does anyone know the deadline to make the deposit and secure the position? I think I saw in this forum that the deadline is around April...Can anyone confirm it? The offer I got from USC must be confirmed until March 15, so maybe it is the same with Georgetown (end of March beginning of April).

I saw that post as well. However, no news regarding confirmation deadlines on my end but i think this will be one of the topics that will be taken up in the webpage that the acceptance letter informed us will be established soon.

It seems the information we had was really accurate. Have you guys checked the admitted students page? It says that the deadline for the first deposit is April 3. Hope we receive more answers until this date so that we can make a decision.

Hi Folks,

I am planning to apply to 2007 LLM program at GULC.
Question: why some website display LLM at GULC as not recommended for Bar Exams?
Is there any graduate from GULC ?

Congrats on being accepted to Georgetown! I went to High School just outside DC, and I absolutely adore that place. I'm in the process of applying to Wake Forest University in NC. I'm not about to do the big city thing again... Rather go on visits. So hopefully I will have my application sent by the end of this month, and hopefully I will get accepted. Otherwise I'm in trouble as it is the only school I'm applying to.

Hello!
Have any of you guys recently tried to access the "admitted students" site? Last time I checked -- in mid December -- I was able to get in. Now, I can't! The "forgotten password" routine indicates that my name and e-mail add are not on record. The online app status check site says my status is "unavailable". I'm weirded out. Is anyone experiencing the same thing?

Okay everyone.
I will soon start applying to LLM schools in US, and I would appreciate if you guys could give me advice. I am from Brazil and noticed that a few people above are brazilians as well, and from other countries.
What was your toefl score in order to be accepted at Georgetown?
Were you accepted in other schools?
Was it annoying to prepare all the documents, have everything translated, etc?
For you brazilians, where do you come from?
Thanks.

My TOEFL score was 277 and 5.5 on the essay writing.

Putting all the documents together will take you a while so be ready...My school (U. of Buenos Aires) has such a huge bureaucratic structure that it was a pain in the neck for me...But well, patience.

Mine was 280 and 6 on the essay. I still have not received any other admission letters so far. The whole process of obtaining the transcripts and the recommendation letters was a real pain in the ass!...In my case, I had to obtain a transcript from my Law School (in Brazil), and from the University of Barcelona for each of the degrees I pursued there (LLM and PhD), all off them sealed, duly translated into English and with the corresponding transcript form (some universitites, like Georgetown, Harvard and NYU, request it) signed by the personnel of the university. As you see, it is a long way ahead...
