Hey everyone,

All these law schools are very attractive and I hope I can make the cut.

I'm wondering if any of you would favour any particular institution over the other? If so, why?

How would these schools compare?

Anyone currently study at any of these schools? How is it?

In order of preference, i'd say LSE, KC, Edinburgh and Manchester. Agree?

Thanks for any replies; this forum has been great.

Well,
                    without prejudice to your rankings, i would back the list below;
1.LSE
2.Manchester
3.Edinburgh
4.trinity college dublin
5.london colleges.
You are also advised to look at several internet sites like the times rankings, education guide uk and many more

Hi again,

well when i started thinking about an llm in scotland or ireland i faced few problems.
first of all, irish univs are not ranked of course, so you cant rally compare with british counterparts. however i think UCD is quite good as far as EU law is concerned, while i have no info about trinity.
as for scotland, both glasgow and edinburgh are extremely good law schools, but their llm programmes are quite general and perehaps not very suitable for international students; i was disadvised to get there.
some london unives tend to be better in programmes related to banking law (kings and lse above all), but generally speaking i wouldnt prefere them to manchester, its not worth. being a student in manchester i was invited to many law firms' open day, to presentations of most of the big international law firms here in manchester and also the law fair was held in the city! so it's becoming quite central and big firms are getting more and more concerned about it even if they dont have a branch here.

bye for now
