it jus looks more neat that way,,if th information is in CAPITALS..but i mean its not mandatory or something..(you see I believe that you need to show thoz admission committee people that you've spent a lot of time on your application, and thats th truth..capitalizing is jus one way i gues)..

Ta, Tue Mar 07, 2006 10:17 PM This is the e-mail I got (receivied confirmation letter soon after...still waiting for news regarding financial aid/scholarships). Has anyone been offered a scholarship or fin. aid? Thanks. I am delighted to inform you that you have been admitted by The George Washington University Law School to the Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree program for the 2006-2007 academic year. An official letter of admission with additional information has also been mailed to you. Unfortunately, at this time, I am unable to provide you with an answer regarding your application for a tuition scholarship and financial assistance. I will notify you as soon as a decision has been reached, hopefully no later than March 31, 2006. Congratulations on your admission. I do hope that you will accept our offer. Please feel free in the meantime to contact me directly should you have any questions about the LL.M. program or the admissions process. I look forward to hearing from you shortly. Cordially, Shehernaz D. Joshi Shehernaz D. Joshi Director, International Students Division Graduate Programs Office The George Washington University Law School |

Congratulations on your Acceptance in GWU!! That's a great law school with an enviable location at the heart ot the US Nation's Capital, where momentous breakthroughs and predicaments almost always engage our attention completely. I've also got admission offer from GWU and, at the moment, i'm waiting for the financial aid notice. I think i'll very probably decline their offer to pursue the LL.M. in NWU. It all depends on the financial thing.

thtats th email i received as well..nyways i called GWu yesterday and they said that they will announce the schol decisions only by end of march as stated in the email and the formal letter sent my post..Wed Mar 08, 2006 07:12 AM so i gues we'l have to wait for a couple of weeks more.. nevertheless does anyone here know about the placements of the GWU llm grads or where they are working and how efficient their career office is..i kno th location in DC is great for those planning to intern in US after llm but if anyone has any idea about where (foreign educated) GWU students from last few batches are working then it'l be rili helpful.. |

Thu Mar 09, 2006 09:30 AM so far 3 students for George Washington..nyone else who's been accepted here?? After reading the thread I seem to be in the same boat as a few of you. I was accepted to GW and GT and found this site while trying to make a decision between the two. Great comments, but I still haven't made up my mind. Both are great programs, and I don't want to make a rash decision. Anyone have first hand experience with either school? I'd love to hear some insight (pros/cons) from anyone else deciding between the two or in a similiar situation. |

Ta, as to which one to attend in order to engage in IP, i'd definitely choose GWU over Fordham. GWU is highly esteemed in IP, especially if you are concerned with specializing in Patent Law. It was a pioneer in Patent Law and by 1895 it had already made the patent for Alexander Graham Bell's Telephone. To date, GW IP LL.M. has unflinchingly maintained at the forefront of IP Law for more than a century, being considered by a significant number of the IP Society Clique as a program second to none. Also, an important feature to underline is that GW runs a four-week intellectual property law program in Munich, which is known as Europe's intellectual property capital, thereby enhancing your scope of IP outside the US. In addition, as i've mentioned earlier in a previous thread, if you study there you'll take advantage of the matchless opportunities the city of Washington has to afford you. For example, it is here where the headquaters of the Patent and Copyright Offices are situated. This asset will only add up to your acumen of IP Lore.
