I have a question on tracking my application. LSE and KCL both offer online tracking system, but is there any way to track UCL application? It was not possible to apply online for UCL LLM programme, so I sent application to them by mail in early January, and now I have no idea at what stage my application is now. Maybe I just have not noticed some link on UCL website...

You'll soon receive a letter from UCL which sates the date when they will notify you of their decision. I received such letter around two weeks after mailing my app in late December.

I applied to the LSE on Dec 5th, all my documents were processed on Dec 13th and I got my conditional offer today (on the online tracking system) Jan 24th (that gives you an idea of the time they need to reach a decision). Received my conditional offer from Queen Mary by post today as well.

Apart from two internships in a law firm (2 months each), I do not have any work experience and I was offered a place.

Thu Feb 02, 2006 10:22 PM Unfortunately, the demands of my present job left me sending out applications just before deadlines to most schools, including Oxford, Cambridge, LSE. I'm overseas so the deadlines were probably a bit later than most domestics. I must say I'm impressed with LSE's swift process. My application arrived in December and I received an unconditional offer of acceptance a week ago. Still waiting on the others. I'm wondering what might be the possible "conditions" on some of the conditional offers? I gather that the most likely conditions are for people presently enrolled in an academic program to graduate with a certain percentage/mark. |

Fri Feb 03, 2006 02:40 PM By the way, I know there is another thread concerning "international reputations" of UK schools and LSE is consistently ranked in the top 5, usually the top 3 behind Oxford and Cambridge. What is the typical acceptance criteria for LSE? Is it that much more difficult to get into Oxford or Cambridge compared to LSE? |

I know students have been admitted to the LL.M Innovation, Technology and the Law (distance learning) at The University of Edinburgh, but I can't say who they are..... does that count ;-)?Wed Feb 15, 2006 08:32 PM Oh and congratulations to everyone who has received an offer already, and don't worry if you haven't - the process can sometimes take a long time, particularly if your application was missing one or two vital components! HI, I applied to Kings,UCL and Queen Mary in mid jan. I did not attach a TOEFL test result. Do you think that will have a negative impact on my application? I received the results a while ago, but i don't know whether to send them in now, or wait until í hear from them.

exactly...otherwise, you will get a conditional offer...i say its better to get an unconditional one and be done with it once and for all...
