“The LL.M. in Democratic Governance and Rule of Law is a unique program designed for young lawyers from transitional democracies committed to public service. By fully funding the year of study for most students, Ohio Northern University seeks to provide young reformers with the tools they need to promote democracy and the rule of law in their home countries. The course of study focuses on American and comparative systems, combating corruption, and other critical issues confronting transitional states. Highly regarded faculty are supplemented by periodic seminars from foreign specialists and extensive field studies. Through working and living together in a supportive academic community, the LL.M. students prepare themselves to continue their efforts at fostering democracy and legal reforms when they return home.”
