Welcome message from our Academic Director -

I would like to welcome you to the website for the LL.M. and Diploma programs in International and European Law.

The global economy in which we live has created a demand for lawyers capable of managing different legal systems, whilst at the same time possessing an in-depth knowledge of international and European legal principles.

Our Law School at Jean Moulin University (UJM) offers highly qualified and intellectually outstanding graduates, with a background in law, the opportunity to specialise in international, European and comparative law as well as the chance to develop their legal skills in the international context, thus facilitating their entry into the professional world whilst at the same time enabling them to pre-empt and address the dynamic nature of law in practice.

In the French system of higher education, we are distinct in that all the courses on these programs will be taught exclusively in English to ABA and international standards.

The advanced nature of these programs is reflected further by the fact that the:

  • Courses are tailored to the needs of the students bearing in mind their career plans and long term objectives
  • Courses are organised and taught separately from the undergraduate law courses and specifically tailored for these programs
  • Lecturers selected to teach on these programs have been chosen not only for their expertise in international, European and comparative law, but also due to their experience in practice (working for MNEs, international organisations, NGOs and law firms)
  • Those coordinating these programs are, at the same time, both academics and lawyers
  • Personnel working with students are multinational and bilingual

I hope you enjoy your virtual visit and look forward to welcoming you to our programs, Law School and city.

With regards,

Michala Meiselles, Academic Director for LL.M. and Diploma programs
