One of the most respected institutions of legal education and scholarship in Canada, Queen's University's Faculty of Law offers an outstanding Master of Laws (LL.M.) Program. Students of high academic merit have the opportunity to develop superior skills in legal scholarship, writing and research by pursuing advanced study, independent research and course work. Our graduates have pursued careers as Law Professors at several law schools in Canada and at universities in Britain, Australia, and Africa, careers in the practice of law, and careers working for government and international organizations.

Queen's is committed to offering an intellectually stimulating environment for Canadian and international students seeking graduate education in law. Our distinguished faculty boasts a number of Canada's leading legal academics and exceptionally talented junior scholars and teachers. We offer Masters students an exciting opportunity to work closely with these highly regarded scholars in a wide range of fields. Graduate students are encouraged to take a range of different approaches to their scholarship, including adoption of theoretical, doctrinal, critical and inter-disciplinary perspectives. Our graduate student body is small (approximately 15 LL.M. students are admitted each year), allowing for individual attention, yet is culturally and academically diverse. Our international graduate students have come from many countries, including Britain, Ireland, the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, Turkey, China, India, Japan, Ghana, Nigeria, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia and South Africa.
