Program Features
  • Stockholm University participates in the European Legal Informatics Study Programme (EULISP), which is offered jointly by more than ten European universities
  • The EULISP is a one-year postgraduate programme in Legal Informatics requiring students to follow a special curriculum at two participating universities in different countries
  • The LL.M. degree is awarded by the university where the final examination takes place
  • More information on the EULISP programme and the participating universities can be found on the EULISP website
  • Students who have satisfied the course requirements at the Department of Law will be awarded a Swedish Juris magister degree, which is translated to Master of Laws (Juris magisterexamen i rättsinformatik - Master of Laws in Law and Information Technology)
  • Formally, according to the Swedish higher education system, the Juris magisterexamen (translated to Master of Laws in...), is a first degree (undergraduate degree); however, the master programmes are organized and conducted as postgraduate programmes both in regards to their contents and the methods of teaching
