The U.S. News and World Report has released its annual law school rankings for 2017.
On this year's ranking, the usual suspects appear in the top ten. Yale University took the number one spot, Harvard and Stanford tied for number two, Columbia and the University of Chicago tied for fourth place, and New York University, the University of Pennsylvania, the University of California--Berkeley, the University of Michigan--Ann Arbor, and the University of Virginia make up the rest of the top ten.
U.S. News determines these rankings using a statistical metric that takes into account peer reviews, selectivity, placement success, bar passage rate and faculty resources.
The report also lists the tuition and number of enrolled students for each school. Each school's acceptance rate and average LSAT score are also available for U.S. News subscribers.
