Hi guys, first post on this forum.
Been admitted to both U Penn and Berkeley LLM - will specialize in M&A + financial law. I have 3.5 years experience as legal adviser in HK/Singapore (banks) and ultimately want to work in NY law firm - hence LLM +NY bar (studied in France).
After a few years I may come back to HK (law firm or in-house)
Wonder which of Berkeley or U Penn can give me the most chances to get there.
Noticed that Berkeley jumped to 7th in US News ranking and now ties with U Penn. On the other hand that ranking doesn't reflect specializations...
Also found that ranking focusing on placement in law firms (important for me), looks like U Penn is doing well as it comes first.

All in all I think U Penn would be a better fit for my project but I am not very familiar with US schools and dont want to make an expensive mistake, so any advice is welcomed!
Thanks guys!
Matt

For M&A and corporate Upenn+wharton business certificate is very very good, better than Berkeley.
