I'm an italian JD and I aplied for Fordham and Cardozo llm programs couple of months ago (as I noticed, a few times cited).
Could anybody tell me something more? (rankings are freaking me out)
Which subject I should focus on, to succeed?

PS. actually they are very low profile questions, I'd rather ask for information about "psychopathology law at harvard or just at columbia?" that's very high profile question :))

I also got accepted by Cardozo and Fordham ( int. Bus. and Trade..). Have you decided yet where you want to go?! What where your criteria for making the decision? I heard students at Fordham are supposed to be more stiff and very, very ambitious and deeeeep into law....well I also have another life beside my legal education;-) My alternative to go to New York for a LL.M. program would be Hong Kong or a MBA in Barcelona - HARD decision!!

I just graduated the IP LL.M. program at Cardozo and it is an excellent school. Whether Cardozo or Fordham, I think depends on what you want to study and whether you want to stay in the U.S. afterwards. If you want to stay and do IP, then, Cardozo (No. 5 or 6 in the U.S. according to US News), if general studies, then Fordham (No. 20+, Cardozo No. 50+ according to US News). If you want to go back to Italy, then I guess it doesn't matter where you took the LL.M.

Locationwise, I think Cardozo is better.
