How would you compare Harvard and Columbia?
It seems without doubt that, overall, Harvard is ranked better than Columbia. (but, about US News rankings, maybe it would be interesting to read this: http://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=937017 )
But, specifically, how do they compare regarding intellectual property, internet law, int'l trade, antitrust and law & development? (these are my general interests)
I reckon Harvard has the edge of housing the Berkman Center for Law and Society and excellent faculty on internet law, but I read that Columbia is really strong in both IP and int'l law, and it seemed to me that Harvard is more general-inclined, being very good at almost everything, while Columbia (and other Unis) can be better in specific topics (NYU's fabled Tax program is an example and it seems to me that Columbia might be better focused on business law, and all those sub-sections of it in which I am interested, than Harvard - please correct me if I'm wrong).
Thus, I start this topic because I am really not sure how to compare Columbia and Harvard regarding my interests. Maybe it can help others too and house a useful synthesis of the comparison of both programs.
So, if someone happened to be admitted to both (let's see how I fare when the results come), which would be best, considering the specific interests cited above, mostly in business law?
Does any of you know of details regarding these two Universities' LLM programs and how they compare to each other regarding intellectual property, internet law, int'l trade, antitrust and law & development?

You cannot compare the two schools. Both are Ivy League Schools and have great programs and a great reputation. I think you need to have a deeper look to the courses and teachers and after that you should decide whatever suits better for you.
However, I would prefer Harvard, because well...after all its HRAVARD!
