Yale 2024/25

The Yale website provides the following: Applications are accepted for the 2023–2024 academic year from August 1 to December 1, 2023, at 11:59 p.m., U.S. Eastern Time.

One assumes this is supposed to read '2024-2025 academic year'. But applications are not yet open through LSAC.

Has anyone been able to apply yet?

Has anyone else encountered an issue whereby they answered "Yes" to the following question:

Did you leave each of your law schools in good standing? If not, please explain the circumstances in a separate attachment.

But then there is an error where you have to explain why you did not leave in good standing?

Hi guys! Any news? I applied on November 25th and received an email stating that it was deemed complete on November 28th, but since then my status hasn't updated. Only my application form, resume and TOEFL report are marked as received on the checklist.

I don’t think that’s a big deal. It’s the same for me. I think the most important thing is the completion email.

Good luck though.

Hello! I also have this problem. Has your checklist status changed now? I'm wondering whether I need to contact YLS and LSAC.

Hi! Not yet, but yale says this: “Should your document not appear on your report by January 5, please first contact LSAC and then notify our office”.

Update: the status checker changed a little bit since then. My requirements list now has only 5 topics. However, I still have no application status or status date, what about you guys?

My checker also changed: I have an applica and a person ID now. I only had 5 topics for quite some time however. What did you have before?

Me too (about the IDs). My checklist included transcripts, LORs, and essays before as well.

Can you send a link to those threads? To the extent of my knowledge, late in the first week of March is when we should be notified.

Sure! For example: https://llm-guide.com/board/usa/yale-ll-m-2020-2021-applicants-223842/2 From what I've seen, admitted students are called and have seen a small change in status checkers from this date (feb 23th on). The latest I have seen from these threads here at the forum was a call at March 2nd or 3rd, but March 1st is very common. Fingers crossed!

I also had a look around and I feel that the late February trend was more prevalent pre-COVID. Post-COVID it seems that early March is the norm, but who knows this year@

The yale admissions office also made some changes to the way applications r being handled and hired/replaced some staff this year so i wouldnt expect everything to be the same…
