First intake for distance learning course is January 2008

The International Bar Association (IBA) in partnership with The College of Law of England and Wales (CoL) will launch a new type of Master of Laws (LL.M.) in International Professional Legal Practice.

The program aims to enable the learners to develop and practise their skills in advising and implementing international transactions, as opposed to making academic studies of legal cases, and thus giving them an advantage in the increasingly international legal environment. The course material has been shaped by practising international lawyers from some of the world’s major law firms and aims to provide lawyers with the skills to conduct cases across jurisdictional boundaries.

The program will be taught in English and based on English law and practice with an international perspective. Being a distance learning postgraduate law degree, it will allow individuals to study in any location at their own pace.
