Jason, I've never been to Australia but 2 of the partners at our firm were schooled in Australia so I always hear them rave about your country.(Seb: France is just as picturesque, I hear.)

I started running about two months ago, and now I run a couple of miles every other day. Nothing too intense, but it is addicting.

I'm glad someone else in the program like football too, Jason! I hope that the Cowboys games are shown in Fukuoka, if they are I'll be staying up in the middle of the night to watch

Yeah I filled it in last night - you are talking about the housing request and certificate of eligibility stuff right? I was excited about being able to pick Ito until I saw that we can only pick the Kashiima one LOL

You sent your applications already, right? So, when you checked/visited the site thereafter (assuming you did), did it contain all the information you had provided? 'Cause mine went back to being blank (save for my name and email details), although I did receive a confirmation notice from the support center.

So you will all live in Kashiihama but study at Ito campus? This year only families and couples lived in Kashiihama but our campus was much closer. So I can give you information about the Kashiihama residence if you need.

Just to clarify, the Law School is in Hakozaki or in Ito?

I don't think the housing applications results have been released so we, or at least I, still don't have any idea where I'll be staying. I just hope that it's near to the campus.

It was just a question. Now the faculty of law is in Hakozaki which is nicely located between Kashiihama and Tenjin (downtown, where all the fun is). But this campus is supposed to close and everyone will have to move to Ito, the new campus in the middle of nowhere. Those discussions have been going on for a couple of years now so I hope it will not happen before your LLM. I haven't heard anything about it though so you should be safe.

Hi Edouard, don't know why I didn't notice that this thread is still going but thanks for the additional information, it is greatly appreciated!

We didn't get a choice of where to stay only what room we wanted, etc but the accomodation is in Kashiihama this year.

We have however been wondering what is going on with the curriculum that the University keeps mentioning. What is the structure of the course?? I personally was under the impression that I could just pick the 10 subjects that I wanted to take but there has been some concern that we have to take a specific curriculum and subjects like Law and Theory?? Any information you can provide on that would be great!

Also, is there a break over Christmas time and how long for?? I'm trying to plan my holiday now :)

It is for the current academic year but it is surely the same for Christmas. All civil servents are given holiday-time during that period so...
